This show was recorded from a live broadcast of my show on Sunday, June 9, 2019 from 8:00am to 9:00am.  Author and Christianity Today contributing writer Jen Pollock Michel discusses her new book  Surprised By Paradox: The Promise of "And" in an Either-Or World.  

We had a great discussion on The incarnation.  Jen says in her book its he paradox of God made human—teaches us to look for God in the and of body and spirit, heaven and earth. In the kingdom, God often hides in plain sight and announces his triumph on the back of a donkey.

Wednesday Edition: Metro Nashville Interim Schools Director (budget & teacher pay)

This show was recorded from a live broadcast Wednesday June 5, 2019 at 4:00pm.  I started with my Community News segment which featured a series of free concerts with the Nashville Symphony Orchestra (Misty Cochran).  The guest was Dr. Adrienne battle, newly minted into the position.  The Metro School System has been the subject of numerous news stories over the last several months when the former school director's contract was not renewed.    

 

Dr. Battle was appointed to replace him.

This show aired live on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at 4:00pm (cst)   This issue is driving everybody crazy right now wit the one ring and hang-up.  Kevin Walters of TN. Dept. of Commerce & Insurance gives details.  

2-Guests - 2-topics Legislative Update & Preventing Sex Trafficking (aired on 4-25-19 at 5pm)

This show aired live on Wednesday, April 25, 2019 at 5pm (cst).  The first half hour began with my Legislative update on bills of interest and concerns and pending legislation.  TN. Senator Brenda Gilmore was in-studio to discuss concerns on Bills on Voter Suppression, School Vouchers  and several others.  

Then at 5:30pm I shifted on the eve of the NFL draft which kicks off on Thursday, I talked with Chris Hadnagy, he's  founder of Innocent Lives Foundation, a nonprofit group that works with law enforcement to bring sexual predators to justice.  He says there's a darker side to big events like this - sex trafficking.  

Chris is also a cybercrime consultant to the FBI and local law enforcement agencies across the country. He's published three books on online manipulation techniques and the Dark Web. Chris has appeared before on CNN, NPR, Fox News, CNBC and MSNBC.

He gave some excellent tips for parents and others.     

Communiy News & this Hour's Book Leading Loyalty (aired on 4/25/19)

This show aired live on Wednesday, April 25, 2019 at 4pm (cst).  As usual I started my show with my News from the Community Segment.  We heard about The Tennessee Supreme Court designation of April as the third annual HELP4TN Days, a time dedicated to bringing free legal resources to Tennesseans in need. Throughout the month of April, more than 100 free legal clinics will be held throughout the state, and online and phone-based legal services will be offered to residents who cannot make it to a legal clinic.  

Representing that service in-studio was Anne-Louise Wirthlin, ADM. Office of the TN. Supreme court and Kirsten Jacobson, of the Tennessee Alliance For Legal Services.  Both of the ladies are attorneys.  

Then, best-selling author and thought leader Sandy Rogers discussed his latest book :Leading Loyalty: Cracking the Code to Customer Devotion.  This was an interesting discussion about customer service and helping businesses to thrive through how they treat their customers.

This show was recorded live on Easter Sunday, April 21, 2019 from at 7am to 9am.  The 411 Show's Annual Resurrection Sunday broadcast included Reverends Geno and Corine Gardner of Generation Now Church in Murfreesboro and Rev. Valencia Jordan of Phillips Chapel CME Church.  We covered alot of territory during the 2-hour broadcast.

This show was broadcast on Wednesday April 17, 2019 at 5pm.  Adonis a a ministers, author, and motivational speaker.  He is a part of the 411 Show's Leadership Empowerment Team.

This show is the 2nd hour of a live broadcast on Palm Sunday, April 14, 2019 at 7am to 9am.  In-studio guests were: Rev. Nakita Cummings of Joshua House Ministries, Lady Shaquinta Johnson of Impacting Life Ministries and Lay Phi Phi Leveque of 1st Haitian Baptist Church.
