Shanna L. Jackson, Ed.D, is the empowerment guest to discuss leadership. She's the president of Nashville State Community College. Dr. Jackson was named president of Nashville State Community College in March 2018, and began her duties as president on June 1, 2018.
She is the first African American to hold that position.

He's a highly sought after singer, songwriter, drummer and percussionist.
The artists he was worked with recording artist ranging from R&B, to Pop and Jazz. They include Earth, Wind and Fire, Bette Midler, Al Jarreau, Paula Abdul, Boz Skaggs, the B52s, Steely Dan, Jennifer Lopez and Bruce Hornsby.
Sonny is a native of Atlanta.

At 4:30pm the book up for discussion is: Bending the Arc: My Journey From Prison to Politics by Keeda Haynes. She's a Criminal Justice Reform advocate and former Public Defender and was incarceriated for agreeing to receive multiple packages for her then-boyfriend.
He told her that the deliveries were for a cell phone and pager business. As it turned out, the packages actually contained marijuana, unbeknownst to Haynes

News from the Community Segment comes the Frist Art Museum's Trinita Kennedy on the Alma W. Thomas exhibition on view through May 2022. Thomas become the first Black woman to have a solo show at the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York when she was eighty in 1972.
