This was a great discussion on today's climate and how some in the community of faith are at a crossroads between following what "thus says the Lord", and following their political beliefs.  We did involve some of the current news topics in the discussion.

This hour Mayor David Briley joins us and we chat about a variety of stuff.  He sings with the group.  It features a variety of people from all different walks of life.

Sparking Prosperity for Everyone

This show aired on Wednesday, January 3, 2019 at 5pm (cst).  This hours guest was Robert Friedman, founder and chair emeritus of Prosperity Now.  He's worked extensively in the savings and asset building fields.  I really enjoyed this discussion on Robert's new book "A Few Thousand Dollars".  He says that 80% of people of color, are locked out the mainstream economy, unable to add their talents, work, and dreams, unable to share in the bounty.  

His solution addressed in the book involves a few simple policy changes which he address wealth inequalities and build a better economy and a stronger country for us all.

This originally aired live on Wednesday, January 3, 2019 at 4pm (cst).  (The first one of the new year)  As usual I started with just a quick catch up from the holidays, then we bring Shaun into the show.  

I enjoyed my chat with Shaun Belding, he's CEO of The Belding Group of Companies in Canada. Our discussions was on various sizes of businesses and handling customer service and imaging issues.  He's author of the book "The Journey To Wow: The path To Outstanding Customer Experience and Loyalty".

411 Show with Tracey Wilen and Tom Atkinson 12-13-18

This 411 Show aired live on Wednesday, December 13, 2018 from 4pm to 5pm.  My guests were researcher and speaker Dr. Tracey Wilen.  She discussed her 2018 predictions of disruptions from tech in the workplace and in culture.  Tracey who is returning to the show from earlier this year gives insight on technology as it relates to career confusion for the workplace, society, careers,, etc.  She'll return in January to continue this conversation. 

Travel Editor Tom Atkinson of Nashville has written a bucket list for Nashville: "100 Things to Do in Nashville Before You Die."  This was fun!  Tom writes for Southern Living.   

WFSK Artist of the Week Nils (his Christmas project)

This was the live feature that is done on WFSK 50 weeks a year, the Artist of the Week.  Thursday from noon to 1pm we play some prime cuts from the release, giveaway free CD's and talk live with the featured recording artist.  In December, I always have new holiday releases as the feature. Nils new album is Christmas Everyday", his first holiday project.   

My Guests are an Author and the Other is a Motivational Speaker

This show aired live on December 5, 2018 at 5pm. (cst)  In the first half hour my guest was bestselling true-crime author Michael Arntfield.  We discussed his book Monster City: Murder, Music, and Mayhem in Nashville’s Dark Age.

He spent more than fifteen years as a police officer and detective in Canada before going on to become a globally noted homicide scholar and criminologist, including a year spent as a visiting professor at Vanderbilt University in Nashville. There, he met retired Metro Nashville detective sergeant Pat Postiglione, and the vision for Monster City took shape.

 

Then, her from 411 show's empowerment and encouragement team member Adonis Lenzy.  He appears on my show quarterly.  Adonis is an author, speaker, and pastor who enjoys speaking to people from all walks and stages of life, inspiring them to live the life they have imagined by going after their dreams.  

We spent time on the subject of ways of keeping yourself from having a negative attitude and handling holiday stresses.
