This show is part of a 2-hour "live Christmas party" which was live on Sunday, December 15th, 2019 on WFSK FM. I named the holiday broadcast "What Christmas Means to Us", because the hope is to project something different than spending money or going in debt and also building bridges in the community. We always have such a wonderful time!

He's a Baltimore pastor and former NFL Chaplain. He says "the book is written for the lady who has struggled to figure out the best ways to care for the needs, thoughts, and feelings of the husband, father, son, or brother she loves." Cover Him is a coaching manual -- a practical guide for understanding what men often need, think, and feel but rarely express with words.
We covered a lot of scenarios on male/female relationships.

This is a weekly feature on WFSK. Our Artist of the Week spotlight featured Kirk Whalum on Thursday, 11-21-19. Kirk has a new project out entitled "Humanite." He hails from Memphis and is what I call "A Tennessee Treasure". Grammy-award winner and multi-talented son of a preacher man, Kirk has a heart for the community and the Lord. He's also an ordained minister and has made a series of gospel jazz projects as well.
During this interview, we were joined by my friend Marion Meadows who came by the studio and we had a super time on this interview. Those longtime friends and saxophonist have shared the stage together over the years. Marion lives part time in Nashville and was dropping off his new release and to check in with yours truly. Marion jus released 1st Christmas project is entitled "Christmas With You".

This show aired live on WFSK FM on Wednesday, 11/20/19 at 4PM (cst). My News from the Community was from Judge Rachel Bell of Nashville Division VIII on her new imitative on The General Sessions Music City Community Court Justice Center, which is located in the heart of the African American community.
My guest was Shawn Davis, Creator of Big Shake’s Nashville Hot Chicken and Fish in Huntsville, Alabama, Franklin TN and in the Rivergate area of Nashville. Known as Chef Big Shake, started cooking in a professional kitchen when he was just 12 years old.
Chef and his wife Robin brought us a complete Thanksgiving dinner and yes I eat on-air and it was delicious and fabulous! A 12-pound fried turkey with garlic butter and parmesan infused flavors. It was a fun time. Chef has appeared on Shark Tank, Man Verses Food and oterh TV shows.

WFSK's weekly feature Artist of the Week this week put the spotlight on singer, songwriter, bassists and producer Chris Walker. His new release pays tribute to the legacy of Al Jarreau, We're In he Love Together.
He was Jarreau’s bassist and featured vocalist for over 20 years, co-produced the album with Larry Williams, who was Jarreau’s keyboardist. he album features a stellar line-up of artists who came together to honor the seven-time Grammy winner from the jazz, R&B and gospel worlds including Regina Belle, Dave Koz, Will Downing, Gerald Albright, Rick Braun, Kirk Whalum, Arturo Sandoval and David Foster among others.
The album is reminiscent of Jarreau’s own tribute album to his long-time friend, George Duke.
He was excellent!

The 411 Show's Community News Segment came from Sarah Bishop of United Way of Metropolitan Nashville do bring the communities attention to family food needs for the Thanksgiving holiday season. My book author for the show was Nicholas Buccola author of numerous books, we discussed his latest The Fire Is Upon Us: James Baldwin, William F. Buckley Jr., and the Debate over Race in America. It describes how the clash between the civil rights firebrand and the father of modern conservatism continues to illuminate America's racial divide.
He is the Chair in Political Science and Founding Director of the Frederick Douglas Forum on Law, Rights, and Justice at Linfield College in Oregon.

Hill, Ph.D. former Vice Chancellor at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine who was instrumental in the development of the Meharry Vanderbilt Alliance (MVA) 20-years ago. MVA develops and supports collaborative initiatives. It has provided opportunities for collaboration between Meharry Medical College and Vanderbilt University Medical Center, and for collaboration with projects in the community.
My guest Robert M. Hardaway discussed his new book Saving the Electoral College He says the 2016 election caused many pundits and citizens alike to decry the Electoral College. This book explains the dangerous and unconstitutional implications of the National Popular Vote Bill, which is quietly passing in state houses across the nation.
Hardaway is a professor of law at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law where he teaches evidence and civil procedure and election law. He is the author of numerous law review articles and books on the Electoral College and election law.

I really enjoyed this conversation with him. In the book and on the air Shundrawn helps us to a greater understanding of our abilities and passions, which in turn will help us develop into the people we are meant to be.
He addresses issues of work ethic, character formation, and work-life synergy to find better harmony between what we do and who we are all with in a spiritual context. He is the president of a trillion-dollarr global investment management business, and speaker.
