In this CRT/censorship era I found this book discussion to be very interesting as it focused on the Civil Rights work of young people changed the world. It also revealed to me that history can easily repeat itself if we let hysteria and hype rule our nation.

Mayer s the award-winning author of When the Children Marched: The Birmingham Civil Rights Movement and editor of The Civil Rights Act of 1964 and Dr. McLemore is contributing writing is a Mississippi activist who sparked a boycott of his high school in 1960, an interim mayor of Jackson, and a political science professor at Jackson State University.
